The only area she refuses to compromise? Aging. “My philosophy with skincare and aging is this: don’t go easy on that good night,” she says. “I’m not going to age gracefully. I think to myself, y’all are going to have to drag me kicking and screaming. Below, Tinx shares her anti-aging favorites, plus the tools, masks, and serums she can’t live without.

My favorite cleanser is the Tracie Martyn Amla Cleanser. I’ve been using it for six or seven years now. It’s a bit pricey, but I love it, it’s such a great cleanser. I also like the Almay makeup remover wipes; they really work for me. Sometimes if I have a lot of glamour, I use Burt’s Bees Sensitive Face Towels because they have aloe in them, and I feel like when you take off a lot of makeup, you want just be gentle because it’s already so stressful on your skin. I love these little face wipes.
I love M-61. These little peelable pads are so amazing. I don’t do them every day, just when I feel like my skin needs them. And then I also recently discovered this Furtuna Skin Micellar Cleansing Essence; it’s a toner and it acts as a double cleanser, but it also tones. It’s absolutely phenomenal. Furtuna skin is a new brand in which I start. I work with this facialist, Candace Merino – she’s phenomenal and she referred me to them.
In addition to the dabs, I love the Kora Organics Turmeric Exfoliating Mask; it’s really good. It smells really good and it’s really clean. I must say that I have often recommended it. It’s a good thing to have in your arsenal. Even if you only do it once every two weeks, it’s a great mask. I also love the Tracie Martyn Enzyme Scrub.
That’s where the expensive stuff comes in. And look, I always tell people, you would never comment on a guy buying a watch or a car. I put my money into my skincare; that’s where I like to invest. So I love Dr Devgan’s Vitamin C Serum. It contains vitamins C, E and B. It’s really good. I have been using it for many years. Everyone knows that Dr. Devgan does my Botox, and she’s a doctor, but she’s not just a plastic surgeon: she’s also a wife, a mother, and a scientist, and I think that’s why her products work so well. I also use his retinol. I was really scared to start using retinol just because a lot of people were breaking out [using it], but I love its retinol. I also love her hyaluronic serum.
If I have a red [irritation] day, I will be using Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Soothing Lotion. When I have one of those really big hair shattering rosacea vibes, I just need to keep it totally simple. I also love stem cell transformer Sonya Dakar and her blue butterfly balm to seal it all in. One thing that I’m actually interested in and haven’t tried yet is slugging. It’s now a brand new and big thing on TikTok skincare, where you’re supposed to do all your products and then put a heavier thing on top so they all sink in. So I’m going to explore that as well.
My eye cream
I love the Furtuna skin one, it’s so light and fluffy, and it comes with that little scooper. And here’s the cool thing about it: the scooper is magnetic on the lid, which I think is the niftiest detail. Us skincare girls, if you have one of those tiny little scoops, you always lose it, but this one sticks to the lid. Good for you, Furtuna Skin!
I love Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen; it goes on clear. It’s the only one that doesn’t interfere with my makeup and I love it.
I love my Skinny Confidential Ice Cream Roller. I’m an inflator – I always tell my followers that some of us are just salt sensitive. I look in the direction of soy sauce, and I’m bloated the next day. So I really like this tool, and I will do it tomorrow morning. I have a ReFa; it is a money roll tool. Literally anything to help deflate the face, I love it. The ReFa is quite relaxing. I make it when I wake up and also keep it in the fridge.
I’ve been known to be obsessed with under eye gels. I don’t know if it’s just more of a happy ritual for me now, but I love it. And I love a sheet mask. I’m obsessed with Dr. Jart. I think they make amazing sheet masks. I do a sheet mask of some shape almost every day. I think it’s so relaxing.
My spot treatment
If I’m having a blast, I like the Sonya Dakar spot treatment. It’s a little drying lotion, and you dab it on overnight. The other tip I have is actually the Tracie Martyn Enzyme Mask I mentioned earlier. I use it as a spot treatment. I dab a bit before going to bed and it dries very slowly.
