Summer is here and so is the scorching heat of the sun. What happens is a lot of dirt, pollutants and irritants that damage our skin. Since the skin is the largest organ of the human body and a sensitive organ, it is very important to take care of it. With the heating ball overhead, here’s a summertime skincare regimen to follow to keep skin supple and fresh.

Protect the skin from the sun

Although there are sunscreens available in the markets with different SPF levels, a muslin cloth or scarf can also help save you from the sun. If you use sunscreen, be sure to use a good quality product and reapply it every few hours. As for the scarf, use a soft and breathable material.

Stay hydrated

While in summer our body reminds us of itself to drink water, it is advisable to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water during the day. It will not only keep you hydrated but also give freshness to the skin.

Wash and moisturize

When you get home, wash your face, hands and feet with cold water. This will remove all accumulated dirt and sweat, letting the skin breathe. Don’t forget to hydrate afterwards.

Eat well-balanced diet

It is important to nourish your body with a well-balanced diet. Your portion should include protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals. When the body is healthy from within, the skin will glow on its own.

So pack your bag with sunscreen, a scarf, a bottle of water and some healthy food to enjoy your day in the sun!!
