Since launching her lifestyle site Goop, which began as a weekly newsletter in 2008 and has grown into a wellness and beauty authority in its own right, Gwyneth Paltrow has focused on sharing the products , techniques and advice to achieve a healthier and more balanced life.
When it comes to beauty, Paltrow prioritizes skincare over makeup (she usually does without) and particularly focuses on products that will enhance her natural glow. That means plenty of exfoliating agents and anti-aging ingredients that help keep dull, tired skin at bay. Here, Paltrow tells us about her daily routine and favorite Goop skincare.
“I always start with our GoopGlow Jelly Cleanser,” says Paltrow. “It’s an exfoliant that leaves the skin feeling great. The cleanser has an incredible fluffy jelly texture and contains gentle yet highly effective exfoliating pearls.

After the morning cleanse, Paltrow takes this gentle exfoliating toner. “This toner is made with flower acids, so it’s very powerful but also very gentle and fits perfectly into any skincare routine,” she explains.
Vitamin C is a valuable skincare ingredient, but susceptible to oxidation, which affects its potency. “Our version is special because you can mix vitamin C and hyaluronic acid together to make the product as fresh as possible,” says Paltrow.
“It really reduces the appearance of crow’s feet, puffiness and dark circles – so it’s a secret weapon,” she shares.
Hydration is a key part of any skincare routine, and Paltrow says this face cream is “like heaven.” It’s “incredibly nourishing and really boosts that youthful, dewy look,” she enthuses.
Paltrow, like us, loves multitasking products. “Lip balm is the only beauty product I wear all day and many of them can be drying or sticky – this one is so fluffy and luxurious and can also be worn on the cheeks as part of a very low-maintenance makeup routine,” says Paltrow.
Paltrow’s current favorite sunscreen is this tinted option that “sinks in like a dream.” From the Black-owned Unsun brand, it comes in two shades that can blend with any skin tone.
For her nighttime routine, Paltrow loves this combination of physical and chemical exfoliator. You’ll feel a tingle of glycolic acid breaking down dead skin cells — “it’s the exfoliation that works,” she says — then a micro-exfoliating mineral blend including quartz, garnet, alumina and silica gently remove them.
This face oil is “a total game changer for my skin,” Paltrow shares. It “can’t live without it” thanks to its formula rich in bakuchiol, which is a natural alternative to retinol and ideal for treating fine lines and wrinkles.
