NORWOOD PARK – Nadine Senese wants you to take better care of your skin.
“It’s your biggest organ, and the first thing people see,” Senese said Thursday at the inauguration of Bella Faccia, her newly relocated health studio. “You have to keep him healthy.”
Senese, a licensed esthetician, runs an intimate clinic at the back of the Do or Dye Salon, 6005 N. Nina Ave., where she offers a wide range of facials and skin treatments. The most basic package gives clients an hour in its Zen-style nook, where they are treated with a skin cleanse, exfoliation, facial massage, and mask.
Treatments include LED light therapy for acne and vitamin infused oils to keep skin supple and youthful looking. A facial, recommended for special occasions, even uses collagen infused with 24k gold.
Senese also offers a full line of oils and creams that customers can take home, some of which are distributed under the Bella Faccia label.
After spending a year operating her studio around the corner at 6130 N. Northwest Hwy., Senese one day walked into Do or Dye with a hair date and came out with a plan to co-rent the storefront together.
The hair salon has been running continuously since 1995, but never before with a roommate. Co-owner Julie Kelley said she looks forward to new roommate “bringing some shine” to the storefront
Senese has a loyal following, including Laurie Christie, who said she takes time for an immersive and restorative session at the studio each month.
“It’s all about the wellness therapy experience, and I don’t think you can have a more relaxing atmosphere than with Nadine,” Christie said. “I would follow her anywhere, but I’m glad she’s staying a few minutes away.”
Bella Faccia offers service by appointment only; sessions can be arranged by calling 773-206-2320.
